Admissions FAQ

Tuition

Q. How much is tuition at Albert Einstein Academy?

A. Tuition for the 2009 -10 school year is $12,000. Generous tuition grants are now available thanks to our partnership with the Kohelet Foundation. Find out more! (Cathy, this should link to a press release I will be sending you that will be in the press release section.)

Q. Does Albert Einstein Academy offer financial assistance?

A. Families can apply for financial assistance. Albert Einstein Academy is committed to the principle that all qualifying families who wish to give their child(ren) a Jewish Day School education should be able to do so. The primary responsibility for a child’s education rests with the family. However, Albert Einstein Academy makes the school financially accessible to families who are doing their utmost yet are still unable to handle the burden of the full cost of tuition. Many families receive scholarship support. This process is completely confidential. Admissions decisions are made separate and independent from financial assistance decisions. Information and applications are available ONLINE or from the Director of Admissions.

Q. What other fees are Albert Einstein academy families expected to pay?

A. Albert Einstein Academy’s parent association, Home and School Association (HSA), has a voluntary dues rate of $30 for the first child and $15 for each additional child. This active group supports the students, staff, and parents in a wide range of activities. After-school activities also have a fee associated with them.

Each spring our upper school participates in an overnight field trip. Costs and itinerary of the trip are announced after January 1st. Scholarships to help offset the cost of the trip are available.

Q. Does Albert Einstein Academy require parents to complete Co-op Hours?

A. Co-op hours provide a great opportunity for parent involvement with the school. All families are required to complete a minimum of 25 hours of service. Many different volunteer jobs are available in school or assisting teachers and staff with various projects at home. Those who prefer not to complete this requirement must pay the school for any shortage of hours at the rate of $25 per hour. This participation requirement is per family, regardless of the number of children attending our school.
