FINANCIAL AID
Approximately one-third of Albert Einstein Academy’s students receive some sort of financial aid. Providing all families in the community with the opportunity to send their children to our school, regardless of economic circumstances, is a fundamental goal of AEA. Families requiring financial assistance are encouraged to apply. The financial aid process is strictly confidential, and admissions decisions are made separate and independent from financial aid decisions.
Applying for Financial Aid
The School and Student Service for Financial Aid (SSS) is a service provided by the National Association of Independent Schools. Albert Einstein Academy is one of more than 2,400 schools using SSS to provide an objective and consistent method of determining a family’s ability to contribute toward educational expenses.
The Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS) is the cornerstone of the financial aid application. It is offered in print or online, and is designed to be clear and user friendly. A PFS, as well as a “Family Guide to Financial Aid” booklet are included with every Albert Einstein Academy admissions packet. Additional copies of both the PFS and the financial aid booklet are available in the Admissions Office.
Parents interested in pursuing financial aid should complete the Parent’s Financial Statement for and mail it to School and Student Services for Financial Aid (SSS) in Pittsburgh, PA. Or, parents may go to www.nais.org to begin completing their PFS Online.
Your form will be confidentially analyzed by SSS, and results will be sent to Albert Einstein Academy within 4-6 weeks. All financial aid decisions are made at the first Tuition Aid Committee meeting following receipt of the confidential Parent’s Financial Statement Analysis from SSS.
